Eyebrow transplantation, which is a procedure related to hair transplantation, is a very comfortable and practical application. In eyebrow transplantation, which is a much narrower area compared to hair transplantation, high patient satisfaction can be achieved with the right treatment protocol. Although it is a procedure related to hair transplantation, eyebrow transplantation cannot be performed with as many different techniques as hair transplantation because it is applied in the facial area. For example, the FUT technique is an old technique but still used in hair transplantation from time to time, it is not preferred in eyebrow transplantation applications. However, the FUE method is not very often preferred in eyebrow transplantation because the channels to be opened during the application can damage the eyebrow roots. In particular, the DHI technique is often performed frequently in eyebrow transplantation because of its comfort in use in the narrow areas as well as its rapid recovery.

With the DHI technique, which is performed with a Choi needle or, in other words, an implant pen, no canal opening is required. In the eyebrow transplant performed with this technique, the grafts taken from the donor area can be directly implanted in the eyebrow area. Choi needle is a special pin which is used in hair transplantation. The DHI technique, also known as the Choi technique, allows to complete the treatment more comfortably and return to social life in a short time. Eyebrow transplantation with using the DHI method has many advantages in itself. The first of these is that there is no need to open channel in the relevant receiver area. However, the hair follicles are transplanted directly, the process is completed in a short time. Another important benefit of the DHI technique is that eyebrows can be shaped much more effectively in the narrow area of the eyebrow area thanks to the ergonomics provided by the Choi pen. Extraction of hair follicles from the donor area
Before this procedure, local anesthesia is applied to the patient first. This provides the patient’s maximum comfort during the application. Then the extraction of the hair roots from the donor area is started. The number of hair follicles to be taken varies depending on the width of the area to be planted. In eyebrow transplantation, mostly the grafts in the back of the head are selected as the donor area. Although body hair is also an option, this area is often preferred as a donor area as the hair harvested from the nape of the neck is more resistant to hair loss.

Eyebrow transplantation with the Choi needle
In eyebrow transplants performed using the DHI technique or the Choi technique, the grafts taken at this stage are planted in the relevant area with the help of a Choi needle. At this phase, there is no channel opening like in the FUE technique. The hair follicles, which are taken from the donor area, are transplanted directly into the recipient area. A local anesthetic is also applied in the donor area before the procedure, as in the recipient area. This prevents possible discomfort and pain sensations during the application and ensures that the phase is completed more comfortably.

Bandage after eyebrow transplant
A bandage after eyebrow transplantation is the final stage. This step is done the day after the procedure. Two points are taken into consideration at this point. These are one is whether the hair follicles take root in the recipient area in the application and the other is whether there is a possibility of complications.
